The Indian Sign Language Interpreting Fellowship at Hear A Million aims to address the existing challenges in the interpreting field.  Some of these challenges are lack of mentorship for new interpreters, understanding the versatility and complexity of the profession, lack of professional development opportunities, understanding boundaries and ethics, competitive skills for signing and voicing etc. These gaps are addressed by creating an innovative and supportive environment for interpreters to enhance their skills and foster professional development. This fellowship will serve as a resource hub, focusing on improving interpreters' receptive skills, signing skills, voicing skills, ethics, Interpreting techniques, facilitating interaction between interpreters and the Deaf experts, and ultimately enhancing the quality of interpretation services.
