Impact Report 2025-2026

The ISL Interpreters Fellowship at Hear A Million is committed to strengthen the interpreting profession by fostering excellence, mentorship, and continuous professional growth. The fellowship supports new and emerging interpreters while deepening their understanding of the versatility and complexity of the profession. It creates opportunities to strengthen professional boundaries, deaf-led learning and ethics, enhance receptive, signing, and voicing competencies, and build confidence in a wide range of interpreting settings. Through an innovative and supportive learning environment, the fellowship serves as a resource hub where interpreters refine their skills, develop interpreting techniques, engage with Deaf experts, and learn through meaningful collaboration. By investing in the growth of interpreters, the fellowship aims to elevate the quality of interpretation services and contribute to a more skilled, ethical, and connected interpreting community.
